A very successful social event was arranged and a number of members boarded the bus at the collection point; Worthing Golf Club and travelled the short journey to Firebird Brewery in Rudgwick, Horsham.
With flashbacks of old school trips and the ‘naughty’ ones at the back of the coach, the journey there was quite subdued. I can report the journey home was not!
We were met by the owner and staff at Firebird Brewery and led through the premises, past huge vessels containing beer to a funky looking bar area with vibrant decorations and a welcoming ambience.
The beer was not in short supply and we were encouraged to enjoy various samples on offer. Trays of food were presented to our hungry members and a guided tour with a very scientific account of brewing methods described.
The fun did not end, one of our members, Jo performed various songs on her Ukulele with singing accompaniment from other members who I’m sure now had some ‘dutch courage’.
A thoroughly entertaining evening with networking and the cost covered by the Worthing Business Circle membership.
We would like to thank all the staff at Firebird Brewery for a entertaining evening and one we will hope to revisit some time in the future.
